Here at Duckpin, we are striving to produce good looking, hard working Tollers, with intelligence suited for field, obedience, agility or any dog sport you wish to tackle. We feel a well-rounded Toller is the best companion you can ask for. Tollers should be an active breed ready for any task from a full day in the field, to a day at the dog show, to a night of cuddling on the couch. All Duckpin Tollers are trained using operant conditioning from field to obedience to conformation. See the ROOT site for more information. We feed extremely high quality kibble and prescribe to a limited vaccine schedule.

Please remember that Tollers are not the dog for everyone. Just because they are great for me does not mean they are great for you. Tollers have a lot of energy and drive and really need an owner that can channel their activity level. I would recommend taking the time to read the “Top 10 Reasons Not to Get a Toller.” Also Tollers (like any dog) can have health problems. Please take the time to read over the Toller Health website to see what problems are more common in the breed. Also a very important part of Toller information is the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club – USA and the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club of Canada. Both sites have information about the history, standard and breed rescue among other things.
